Browns RB Davis Injured in Car Wreck
ESPN’s James Walker, describing the incident:
Browns rookie tailback James Davis was involved in a one-car collision Saturday morning at approximately 8 a.m. while driving to the team’s practice facility, and he is now listed as questionable for Sunday’s season opener against the Minnesota Vikings.
Davis was briefly hospitalized and released Saturday. The team is describing the ailment as a head injury.
He has been a huge surprise for the Browns this pre-season and was eventually expected to overtake Jamal Lewis as the team’s starter. The 23 year old Davis was a sixth round draft pick out of Clemson in 2009. In 2006 he was First-Team All-ACC.
