The Bears defense is taking a pounding. They’ve lost Brian Urlacher for the season, and LB Pia Tinoisamoa is either day-to-day or out a month, depending on which Chicago paper you believe.

When Brian Urlacher was asked about his wrist injury on Monday, he sent back a text message with a simple message: “season is over.” The Bears have yet to confirm this with an official announcement but if Urlacher is saying it, you can probably believe it. Obviously if this comes to pass, the Bears defense as a fantasy play just took a big hit.

The body count for week 1 (so far) is relatively light. Of course, this list could grow as the week progresses.
Donovan McNabb fractured his ribs and is reportedly going to miss 2-3 weeks. Early reports say he will miss next week’s game, although Andy Reid said there’s a “chance” he could play; after that is unknown. Kevin Kolb replaced McNabb in the game but wasn’t really tested as the Eagles were in the process of routing the Panthers 38-10. The real fantasy star for the Eagles was their defense.
