Twelve seconds on the clock. A smart football team might try to set themselves up for two plays, possibly even get in position for a long field goal.
Raiders Just Chuck This One Away
Not the Raiders! They throw a Hail Mary bomb from the get-go, the Chargers intercept it and take possession, kneel down and the game is over.
A boring three quarters are erased by an exciting fourth quarter with four lead changes. When it came down it, the Chargers laid their cards on the table and went with Darren Sproles over LaDanian Tomlinson...something worth noting if you own either in a fantasy football league.
Rivers finishes 24 of 36 for 252 yards, 1 TD and 1 INT. Tomlinson lead the Chargers with 55 yards and a TD but Sproles’ 23- yards and TD mattered more. Antonio Gates led all Charger receivers with 83 yards on five catches.
JaMarcus Russell might have thrown a gutsy 4th-down TD but overall it wasn’t pretty. 12 of 30 for 208 yards, 1 TD and 2 INTs. McFadden led the Raiders with 68 yards while Michael Bush was close behind with 55 yards and a score. Zach Miller led Raider receivers with 96 yards while Louis Murphy added 87 and a TD.
