Mike Chappell of the Indianapolis Star reports:
Colts Will Not Bring Back Marvin Harrison
If Gonzalez is out for more than four weeks, Polian said the Colts likely would sign a veteran.
And no, it won’t be Marvin Harrison. The 37-year-old was released by the team in February and remains a free agent.
“It really is counterproductive to try to bring a player in who has not had any training camp, not had any offseason,” Polian said. “That’s especially true of someone at Marvin’s age.
“It’s very, very difficult to do and you’re probably inviting injury upon injury.”
Veterans who might merit consideration include David Tyree, Amani Toomer and Matt Jones.
Outside of Reggie Wayne, the Colts’ only healthy wide receivers are rookie Austin Collie and second year pro Pierre Garcon.
