The Bengals are a top-to-bottom object lesson in How Not to Do Things, NFL Edition. Is it any surprise then that their cheerleaders would keep trying to fire the crowd up even as their team is getting depantsed by a freak last-second touchdown from the opposition? No, it is a surprise to no one.↵
And the Ben-Gals Cheered On ...

↵↵The most infamous of the inappropriate cheerleader reactions was a USC Song Girl erupting in applause during the 2006 Rose Bowl after Texas scored a pivotal touchdown. That was bad. But even that’s nowhere nearly as bad as this cheerfail, considering the Ben-Gals were only following orders, or so Ben-Gal member Tara Wilson told Esquire:↵
↵↵⇥ESQ: You had to keep dancing?↵⇥↵⇥TW: Oh, yeah. I have a little sheet in a fliptop wristband — just like a QB — and I call the different dances out to the girls in my corner of the field. It was really hard to keep smiling. The crowd was so loud, we had the hardest time hearing each other the whole game. And then when that happened, it was silent. I could have whispered to the girls.↵⇥
↵↵↵Hey - if Mike Brown is gonna burn through precious money for you, he’s gonna get his constant dancing. Even if the stadium is on fire or Tank Johnson is shooting up the place. Actually, it may be the only way you could get him to stop. ↵
