Perhaps you remember how vandals spray-painted obscenities in the lawn of Buffalo Bills cornerback Leodis McKelvin’s house after his crucial fumble late in the fourth quarter set up the Patriots’ winning drive on Monday night. Now, two 16 year olds have stepped forward to take responsibility. To his credit, McKelvin has declined to press charges. Classy move. After all, teenagers do stupid things, and by now, they have probably learned their lesson (which is: go to the University of Maryland).
McKelvin Shows Some Class; TO Not So Much
↵Terrell Owens, however, seems far less willing to be so forgiving (someday I’d like to live in a universe where TO doesn’t inject himself into every media fracas; unfortunately it looks like today is not that day). TO told reporters “Once we make it to the playoffs, tell them to do his lawn again.” To which I say, um...what? I understand Owens is trying to stick up for McKelvin, but does he really want to go after two teenagers in the media for an admittedly boneheaded prank? TO, keep it simple when you’re defending your teammate. I suggest: that’s my cornerback!
