Thomas Says He’ll Play

We just can’t get enough of the mess that is the Saints backfield. Who will play, who will get the most carries, who gets the goal line carries? It’s fantasy madness, we say. Pierre Thomas has added to the confusion again today by saying he’ll play this week.Despite wearing a new knee brace, Pierre Thomas says he is ready to go for the Saints against the Eagles this Sunday in Philadelphia. Thomas has been out since midway through the preseason with a sprained medial collateral ligament in his right knee.

Thomas practiced in full today and said the brace is just a precaution. But, we still say Mike Bell is the man.

Bell is expected to start again against Philadelphia with Thomas and Reggie Bush getting repetitions as well, giving the Saints fresh legs, options and different looks against the Eagles.
