Regrettably, there may not even be room for two. Ken Tremendous may have put it best when he said, “soccer is cool and fun to watch,“ but the sport is destined to play second fiddle to American football for the foreseeable future. Spike TV has acquired the rights to air rugby matches, and an eight-team rugby league is starting play in the States next year. Rugby is also awesome, and rugby is also fun to watch, but Dave Warner wonders what the quality of play will actually be like:
Do We Have Enough Love in Our Hearts For Three Types of Football?
↵↵Do we even have premier rugby talent here? It seems like this will be a bunch of dudes who played football (or rugby union at a high level) in college and are looking for another athletic outlet.
↵↵I can run sort of fast and I saw a rugby poster once. Can I play?
