The Twins share the Metrodome with the Vikings, and since the Vikings have already clinched a berth to parcitipate in the NFL’s regular season, a schedule conflict could result when they play Green Bay at home on October 5th.
Hold On, We Can Make This Work
↵↵While the Vikings are scheduled to host the Packers that night, the Twins may also need the stadium. If they tie for the American League Central title, the Twins could be hosting a tiebreaker that night.
↵↵Let’s not get hasty here. A football field is, what, 57,600 square feet? Let’s allow five square feet of personal space for each football player -- that’s only 110 square feet. Each baseball player on the field, even if the bases are loaded, would eat up 65 square feet. They can always play football and baseball simultaneously, right? It would make the Vikings’ rivalry with the Packers far more interesting. I guess what I’m saying is that I’d gladly buy a Twins ticket and a Vikings ticket just to see it.
