Eric Berry talked to CBS about his relationship with Tim Tebow and said, “We really don’t know each other that well.” Well, (tried-an-true cliche alert) Tebow’s getting to him now. Berry, one of the finest NFL prospects in the country and centerpiece of the most ridiculous Heisman campaign in history, intercepted a Tebow pass deep in Florida territory, setting up another Tennessee field goal.

It should be noted: if Johnathan Crompton were competent—judging by Lane Kiffin’s timid play calling in the passing game, he’s the quarterback equivalent of a paste-eating toddler—the Volunteers’ offense would actually be quite formidable. As is, they’ve been good enough to make this close and keep hope alive for an upset--or, at the very least, an entertaining second half.
