Nebraska leads Virginia Tech, 12-10. Both teams are playing remarkable red zone defenses, as evidenced in part by Nebraska’s need to trot kicker Alex Henery on the field so often.
Two upsets may be brewing. Oregon leads No. 18 Utah 21-7, and perhaps more importantly, USC and Washington are knotted at 10.
Also worth noting: No. 1 Florida is only beating Tennessee by 7 at halftime, and we must reconcile ourselves with the very real possibility that coach Lane Kiffin will be vindicated.
