Tony Pike Continues Nuclear Levels of Aerial Assault: UC 21, Oregon State 8

Facing a frisky Oregon State team before an Oregon State crowd that can be downright nasty, a lot of smart people suggested that 17th-ranked Cincinnati could falter tonight in Corvallis. And so far, those smart people look like idiots.

At halftime, the Bearcats’ QB Tony Pike has passed for 200 yards and a touchdown, to pair with a 7-yard rushing touchdown, as well. Cincinnati has looked great on both sides of the ball so far, holding the Beavers to just a pair of field goals through two quarters. Oregon State did add a safety, but if they’re to compete with the Pike-led Cincinnati offense, they’ll need to score in more than two and three-point increments.
