Okay, Okay, We Can Let the Kanye Jokes Finish

Kanye West signs

↵
↵The Kanye West snatching the mic from Taylor Swift at the VMAs incident was all the rage among lovers of arcane Photoshop-friendly Internet humor this week. For reference purposes, see here and here. It’s mostly been used outside of a sports context, but a few sports-related ones have cropped up. Now, however it looks like its flavor of the week status is about up. Even worse than jumping the shark and nuking the fridge, it’s become rampant Texas fan College Gameday sign fodder. That’s a telltale sign of general fad exhaustion if ever there was one. I counted at least seven on them and I was only half paying attention to the program.
↵
↵So far in the early games, Cal came out guns ablazing, notching 166 yards on their first six offensive plays. Jahvid Best already has two touchdowns, but a seemingly overwhelmed Minnesota has finally responded to cut the lead to 14-7. Duke, looking for their first win against a ranked team in 15 years, are hanging with Kansas tied at 7 after one quarter.↵
