Rangers’ Michael Young Likely Out At Least Two Weeks

With the Texas Rangers in the midst of making a chase for the American League Wild Cart spot, Michael Young will now miss at least two weeks with a strained left hamstring:

Young got hurt running out a grounder Tuesday, pulling up after crossing the first base for the final out of the third inning of the Rangers' 5-2 win over Toronto. He had an MRI on Wednesday, and Daniels said he's getting a blood platelet injection today to accelerate the healing process.

Young was hitting .322 for the 75-58 Rangers before leaving Tuesday’s game due to the injury. His .322 batting average is sixth-best in the American League.
