Right down the middle and perfect. And that sums up Eli’s performance on the final drive, as well. With a series of 10-15 yard completions, Eli slowly picked apart the Dallas defense to bring the Giants into field goal range. And just like that, New York takes sole ownership of first place in the NFC East.
Still, Dallas fans can take solace in a dominant rushing performance against one of the league’s better defenses. Surely, that’s a good sign, right? And Tony Romo struggled, yes, but… I’m too tired and depressed by this loss to talk myself into Tony Romo tonight. The running game looked great for Dallas, and the defense had its moments, but the Cowboys success hinges on Romo. Tonight, at least, he was disappointing.
