Problems Continue at Home for Bills Players

Win or lose for the Bills, it doesn’t matter, the players’ homes will be made to suffer. After Week 1, it was the vandalized front lawn of Leodis McKelvin. Now, during a victory in their home opener, safety Donte Whitner’s home was ransacked and relieved of $400,000 worth of jewelry.

↵Obviously, what makes this more chilling is that it wasn’t a retaliatory strike from a bitter fan (Whitner, after all, did have an interception return for a touchdown in the win over the Buccaneers) but one of those conventional robberies where a rich person is targeted for their conspicuous valuables. And the fact that Whitner has no idea who could be behind it. (UPDATE @ 7:13 p.m. ET: It sounds like Whitner hosted a gathering over the weekend and this might not be the work of a disgruntled fan after all.)

↵Is no Bill safe from this vile wave of crime plaguing Buffalo? Was Marshawn Lynch’s suspension the result of a purposefully made mistake so that he can keep a better eye on his prized possessions? I’m guessing no, but he’s willing to run down anyone who wants to take a shot at his place.↵
