↵Such is the case with Jeff Pearlman’s latest blog post, wherein he explains that the Yankees lack what a team needs most to win it all: a kick-ass 1, 2 punch atop the rotation. Pearlman argues that essentially New York has CC Sabathia, who obviously qualifies as “kick-ass,” and then four guys who are, as Pearlman says, kinda “meh.”
↵So, which playoff-bound team has the best 1, 2? St. Louis with the Wainwright-Carpenter combo.
