Hasselbeck Misses Practice, Still Could Play

The Seahawks are not ruling Matt Hasselbeck out for this weekend’s game even with his cracked rib. Hasselbeck didn’t participate in practice today, and coach Jim Mora said he might not practice tomorrow. But, Mora also said:

Mora says even if Hasselbeck doesn’t practice all week, the three-time Pro Bowler will play if he and team doctors say he can. Hasselbeck said Monday he plans to work through the pain.

Hard to tell if this is just a smokescreen for the Bears or if Hasselbeck really does have a chance to go this weekend.

Over at Field Gulls, they break down all of the Seahawks injury woes. Including Deion Branch:

Branch is practicing with the team and is expected to play this Sunday. All discussion about his durability aside, Seattle is building a good pass offense. Branch could still be their best receiver.
