Tripping in the NFL Costs $12,500

Cowboys LT Flozell Adams has been fined $12,500 for tripping Giants DE Justin Tuck in the first quarter of Sunday night’s game. It’s the second straight week that Adams has been foreced to pay money to the league (he was fined $5,000 after he “unnecessarily struck his opponent in the head area” in Week 1).

↵Tuck, who injured his shoulder on the illegal play, is still recovering, and his status for Sunday’s game is still uncertain. End of story? Maybe not. When asked if he would retaliate, Tuck said, “Nah, I won’t cheap shot him. But I will hit him in the mouth while he’s looking at me.”
