Even if you’re a Kenny Chesney fan, you have to admit that ESPN’s use of Chesney’s “This Is Our Moment” for its college football broadcasts flew past the “egregious” stop miles back, and is very nearly coming up on “borderline malicious.” Just … pick … a different … song.
Kenny Chesney Lives On

And then … ESPN did just that. It was gone. There was no Chesney to be found on ESPN college football broadcasts. What gives? Never fear, little one. ESPN PR guy Michael Humes is here to assuage your angst. And lo, but Kenny lives!

↵The song has always been intended to be used on opening weekend, very big games and the last day of the regular season. Dave Matthews Band is the official band of college football on ESPN. I am not aware of any backlash, I heard positives about the song.

Yeah! Get ready for more of the same! No, this is YOUR moment, Michael Humes! Who’s excited for some football now?! (Hint: Me, but not as much as I should be.)
