After playing Week 1 despite being questionable with a hamstring strain and missing Week 2 due to an undisclosed knee injury, Pats WR Wes Welker says he will play in the team’s Week 3 game against the Atlanta Falcons.
Welker to Play Week 3
↵While this is certainly good news for owners of the diminutive catching machine, people who took a flyer on Week 2 wonder Julian Edelman should consider dropping him. If you have bench space, stash Edelman and wait to see how the Patriots use him now that Welker is back, but otherwise, send him back to the waiver wire. And, finally, Tom Brady’s stock should see a definite uptick now that his favorite possession receiver is back. The Pats have a long way to go to get back to their 2007 form, but it’s never a good idea to bet against Brady. Look for them to get back on track this week.
