Fantasy Scouting Report: Green Bay Packers

Acme Packing Company on Green Bay’s fantasy prospects.

QB Aaron Rodgers – Fantasy owners with Rodgers are probably looking forward to a match up against the Rams in the dome. The offensive line has failed to protect Rodgers so far this season, but he still managed a good fantasy score against the Bengals while taking six sacks.

WR Greg Jennings – How many fantasy owners jaws hit the floor last week when they saw Jennings post a big fat zero last week with no catches. We all know he’s better than that, and he was bothered by a wrist injury last week. Just move along, and keep him in your lineup.
WR Donald Driver - While Jennings has struggled, Driver has continued to produce as a solid No. 2 or No. 3 receiving option with 138 yards and 1 TD. Although he’s 34 years old, he’s no possession receiver. The Packers still like to send him deep. So unless you’re unusually loaded at wide receiver, he should remain a fixture in your lineup.
RB Ryan Grant – He got snubbed last week with only 3 carries in the 2nd half, and his only “production” was a fumble on a short pass. He’ll always be a given 15-20 carries, and now he’s good for around 3 catches per game. Plus he’s the Packers goal line running back, and he should have at least one chance to punch it in against the Rams. He’ll be on the bench for some teams, but he’s a solid No. 2 for most everyone else.

Packers D – Did I mention they’re playing the Rams this week? Did you know the Rams have only scored 7 points in their 1st two games? Though they surrendered 31 points last week, they made up for it with two INTs, one returned for a TD, and 2 sacks. QB Marc Bulger has been playing it safe, he hasn’t turned the ball over so far this season, so it’s possible the D won’t have a big week, but that’s the worst case scenario.
Green Bay fans, move on over to Acme Packing Company.
