Fantasy Scouting Report: Philadelphia Eagles
Donovan McNabb – While he will again be a gametime decision, all signs point to him sitting out one more week. If you’re a McNabb owner and you signed Kevin Kolb as a backup, he’s probably a pretty good play this week. Kolb threw for nearly 400 yards and 2 TDs last week and against the Chiefs he should have opportunities as well.
Mike Vick – Vick is interesting fantasy case. He’s not going to start at QB and will get very limited snaps, so you can’t really ever start him as your QB… but I think there’s a very good chance you could see him in the red zone lined up in the wildcat or even in goal line situations, so there’s a decent chance he might actually score in any given game. I wouldn’t play him this week, but it will be interesting to see how the Eagles use him.
Brian Westbrook – Westbrook is still obviously shaking off some rust from offseason ankle surgery. Ankle soreness has kept him out of practice this week, so Westbrook owners will want to monitor his progress today closely. That said, anyone who has owned Westbrook in previous years knows it’s fairly common for him to miss practice all week and play well come Sunday. Even so, I expect Lesean McCoy to get some extra carries.
Desean Jackson – He’s missed practice this week with a sore groin, but the same thing happened last week and he had a 100+ yard, 1 TD game. So I wouldn’t be too worried.
Eagles fans really do bleed green over at Bleeding Green Nation.
