A Jason Mask During Player Introductions? That’ll Be 10 Grand

Eagles corner Sheldon Brown wore a Jason mask during player introductions last Sunday before kickoff against the Saints. Whatever the intended effect it was supposed to have on New Orleans that day, and Sheldon was never particularly specific on that point, it clearly didn’t work, as the Saints dropped 48 on Philly on the road.↵↵But the mask did make Roger Goodell’s hair stand on end, though not as much out of fright as him thinking “one of these insolent underlings has the audacity to take liberty with my mandated uniform restrictions.”↵
↵↵That particular deviation from the sacrosanct uniform code will set back Sheldon $10,000. Given how much that mask is setting him back, one hopes he’ll make use of it come Halloween time. Which is unfortunate, because a Jason mask is about as unoriginal a costume as you can find. How sad he’ll look when everyone’s rocking their fancy new Rorschach masks. That and, of course, Sheldon’s out $10,000.↵
