Breaking Down the Week 3 Matchups in Detail
Kevin Kolb’s Week 2 line (391 yards, two TDs) looks swell on paper, but much of it came in garbage time of a loss to New Orleans, and he was erratic with three INTs. If there’s one thing the Chiefs do well it’s cover receivers, especially with top CB Brandon Flowers healthy again...Coordinator Clancy Pendergast preaches aggressive, press-man coverage that will entail frequent “jamming” of Kevin Curtis and DeSean Jackson. The wideouts have enough speed to blow by Flowers and LCB Brandon Carr, but Kolb doesn’t have the arm to go deep.
