Halftime Update: A Couple of Teams That Have No Business Being Routed

At the half, Virginia Tech finds itself up 21-0 over a Miami team that is unable to mount any sort of offensive thread. Is it the rain? That’s not a valid excuse for a team that calls itself the Hurricanes. “Money where your mouth is,” and all that. They’ve managed only 54 offensive yards against the Hokies’ 242.

In upset news: No. 6 Cal is not only losing to unranked Oregon. The Golden Bears are losing big, 25-3. Also, Clemson is up on No. 15 TCU, 10-7.

No. 3 Alabama 14, Arkansas 0

No. 13 Ohio State 20, Illinois 0
