Jimmy Clausen Hits Kyle Rudolph on Fourth Down as Irish Win 24-21

Charlie Weis sat down Jimmy Clausen but brought him back in the final part of the fourth quarter and Clausen went 6-9 and hit Kyle Rudolph for a touchdown on a fourth down play against Purdue.

Curiously, Purdue called a time out when Notre Dame was hustling to get off a third down play with about :39 seconds left in the game. It gave the Irish a much needed breather and helped set up the final play.
