Redskins Upholding Washington Tradition of Bailouts For Detroit

Two fairly underwhelming teams are playing at Ford Field today, but, to the naked eye, it would be easy to mistake the Washington Redskins for the team that hasn’t won since 2007. The Detroit Lions lead 13-0 at halftime, have tallied 274 yards of total offense, and have converted nine of 12 third downs.↵↵The Redskins, meanwhile, have zero rushing yards, zero third down conversions, and, if Twitter is any indication, zero faith in coach Jim Zorn. Oh, and Albert Haynesworth, Brian Orakpo, and Fred Smoot have all gotten hurt. And that touchdown catch pictured above? It’s not even to the good Johnson: That’s Bryant, not Calvin.↵
↵↵It’s hard to envision a worse first half for the ‘Skins, and Zorn’s seat has probably gone from warm to piping hot. But, well, some team has to give the Lions their first win in a while. And at least Redskins fans have funny raps to listen to while their team implodes.↵
