Colts’ blog Stampede Blue did some quick anaylsis and thinks this game wasn’t a mismatch between a good and bad team. It was simply the wrong place, wrong time for the Cardinals.
Bloggers React To Colts-Cardinals
This was a case of one team simply out classing another. This is not a swipe or a knock on the Cardinals. They are not a crappy team. They’d surrendered an average of 56 rushing yards prior to this game. They have an impressive passing attack. They have an excellent kicker.
But they went up against a Colts team that has re-discovered the big play.
Cardinals’ blog Revenge of the Birds agrees that Arizona ran into a good team doing going things and hopefully the Cardinals learn from what they saw.
The Cardinals need to take advantage of their bye week to make adjustments that are meaningful. The home field advantage is gone and I doubt the Cards will run the table on the road. Though turnovers in the redzone was the catalyst of the team’s loss, the offensive line’s inability to afford Warner enough time to work his magic was the crux of the team’s failures on the field. 500+ yards of offense by the Colts is a testament to that team’s greatness and how far the Cardinals need to come to be comparable.
