Bradford Increasing Workload, Stoops Yet To Commit To Him Starting

Injured quarterback Sam Bradford has been splitting first-team snaps with Landry Jones in anticipation for this week’s showdown with Miami. This from ESPN’s Joe Schad:

Oklahoma Sooners quarterback Sam Bradford has been increasing his activity in practice, but a decision on whether he will start Saturday at Miami has yet to be made, coach Bob Stoops said Wednesday.

“He has picked up his number of throws, the distance and his velocity each day,” Stoops said. “He’s been better every day.”

Stoops said that Bradford has experienced nothing more than routine soreness after throwing on Monday and Tuesday.

It seems as if Stoops won’t make the final decision on whether his Heisman Trophy winning quarterback will start until Thursday, or possibly Friday.
