A Redeemed Taylor Dent Plays Match Of The U.S. Open

It’s certainly the best match of the tournament so far, and it might go down as the best of the entire tournament: Taylor Dent just won a four-hour match over Feliciano Lopez 6-4, 5-7, 6-7 (1), 7-5, 7-6 (9). The crowd was electric, both players were exhausted, and Dent took the microphone from the umpire to thank the U.S. Open crowd after the match (not to mention took four victory laps).

↵Add all that to the fact that in 2005 doctors told Dent he would never play tennis again, and you’ve got yourself a match for the ages. Sometimes, tennis is truly awesome.
