As what has become an annual tradition for American professional sports league champions, President Barack Obama will honor the Stanley Cup champion Pittsburgh Penguins in a special ceremony at the White House on Thursday, Sept. 10 at 6 p.m.
As big a sports fan as President Obama has shown he truly is, it would be interesting to know exactly how much of the Stanley Cup Finals he watched. You’d have to think that such an avid sports nut like he claims he is couldn’t pass up the opportunity to watch what was perhaps the most exciting game seven in NHL history.
