Coughlin Accuses Skins of Signing Ex-Giant to Gain Insider Secrets

Tom Coughlin is a tad paranoid after the Redskins signed QB Andre Woodson, who was recently cut by the Giants. The head coach says the only reason Washington made the move was to gain insider info about their Week 1 opponent:

↵↵“You mean, ‘Why is he in Washington right now?’ It’s pretty obvious why he’s in Washington. There’s no question that’s what’s going on. We’ll see what transpires. It works both ways a little bit.”

↵“I’ve been a part of it. I’ve seen it done,” Coughlin said with a wry smile. “The guy doesn’t get in the door two seconds and he’s in a classroom getting grilled. But not of late (has he done it).”

↵↵He might be right. Or maybe the Skins really needed to sign a practice QB after cutting both their third and fourth stringers over the weekend.
