Kings coach Paul Westphal talked recently about his roster for the upcoming year. From Sports Radio Interviews:
Sacramento Has 11 Starters
↵↵“We have probably 10 or 11 players that any one of them could conceivably be part of the starting lineup… any one of 10 or 11 players, if you mention that guy, he’s probably got a chance to start.”
↵↵Conjurs memories of those old Jail Blazers teams, no? Eh... sort of. That 11 guys could conceivably be part of the starting lineup isn’t always good; that might just mean, well, that Sacramento has no quality starters. As Westphal cautions:
↵↵“I’m gonna do a line from football, if you don’t have a quarterback controversy, you don’t have a quarterback.”
↵↵Oof. Could be a long year for Sactown Royalty.
