Lincecum Injured, Scratched From Start

Bad news for the Giants today, as ace youngster Tim Lincecum will likely miss a start thanks to injury. It's not 100 percent confirmed, but the San Fransisco Chronicle's Henry Schulman hasn't had a team member deny the statement, and things are seeming fishy at the old ballpark:

I want to stress that I have not confirmed this directly, but team officials are not denying The Chronicle's suggestion that Madison Bumgarner is being promoted so he can start tonight's game in favor of Tim Lincecum, who cannot start because he is hurt. I've been told that manager Bruce Bochy is going to make an announcement at 3:45 p.m., when the clubhouse opens to the media, which is very unusual. He normally talks around 4:30.
