So my completely unnecessary, baseless prediction yesterday afternoon may have been a little bit off. Kevin Durant didn’t hang 50 on the New York Knicks, but that’s only because OKC led by double digits nearly the entire game.
Durant Missed Out On 50, But...
↵Otherwise, I totally would’ve been the Nostradamus of random writers that you barely read. LOOK AT HOW SMART I AM.
↵
↵In any event, Durant hit for 30 points for the 10th time in his last 12 games, and he did it taking just 14 shots. It’s not even that the effort was that remarkable; it’s that, for Durant, it’s becoming that un-remarkable.
↵He does this just about every night now. Really, as far as scorers are concerned, there’s Lebron, there’s Kobe, and there’s Kevin Durant. Sounds like heresy to put him above Wade and Melo, but he’s just a little bit better. Every night.
↵Kevin Durant drops 30. That’s just what he does.
↵(As an aside, we’re using this picture for every Durant commentary we ever do on this site. Our night editor, Ryan Hudson, described it as swaggalicious, and indeed, that’s definitely a bit of a pimp stroll we see there from Mr. Durant. Can you blame him?)
