Houston Cougars’ Case Keenum Turns Down The Draft

Houston’s pinball wizard of a quarterback, the very Texasly-named Case Keenum, is returning to the Cougars for his senior season:

↵“We have a chance to do something special this season,” he said. “I want to win a conference championship, win another bowl game and take a shot at the BCS.”↵Well, that, and he may not have been able to walk away in good conscience after his last performance as a college quarterback: The Armed Forces Bowl saw Keenum throw one touchdown to six picks against Air Force. When being held to a mere 222 yards is the lowlight of your season, though, it’s not much to be ashamed of. Nor are his season numbers: 154.79 rating, 5,671 yards, 44 touchdowns. He threw five touchdowns in four separate games this season, so just imagine what he’ll do for an encore.
