Bears Reportedly Interview Jaguars Coach Mike Tice

The Bears interviewed Jaguars assistant coach Mike Tice, presumably for their vacant offensive coordinator position, according to Dan Pompei of the Chicago Tribune.

Tice is currently the Jagaurs assistant head coach/tight ends coach, so the Bears requested, and were granted, permission to speak with Tice. Tice was the head coach of the Vikings from the end of 2001 to 2005. Offensively, they were very impressive finishing in the top four in his first three seasons.

The Bears first few targets for a new offensive coordinator have failed, leading to the interview with Tice.

It wouldn’t be such a bad more for Tice to leave Jacksonville since the coaching staff isn’t likely to stick around long-term.
