Pro Football Talk passes along an interesting observation from John Czarnecki:
When Beanie Wells Is On The Field, Look For The Cardinals To Run
↵↵The man known widely as “Czar” (“T-bone” already was taken) reports that, when running back Beanie Wells is on the field for the Arizona offense, the Cardinals only run.
Per Czar, the problem is that Wells can’t pass block.
↵↵Pass blocking is hard. Do you send the Queen out early, or leave her in the back rank until the midgame? Control the center, or work to the sides for an unorthodox attack? Castle early, or leave your King in the center until your pawn structure is set? Whoops, sorry, that’s chess I’m thinking about. Apologies.
