↵Notice how much time is on the clock at the end of the play: three seconds. What you don’t see is that the previous play only two second had come off the clock despite a good four or five seconds elapsing after the snap, leaving the Colts with seven seconds instead of four or five seconds.
↵That’s the difference between having time to take one more shot at the end zone and having to trot the field goal team onto the field. And that’s why it’s called a home field advantage.
