Gaines Adams, who tragically passed away Sunday morning at the age of 26, was a tremendously talented defensive end, but he was not afforded enough time to make as much of a mark in the NFL as he did in college.

↵The man had his share of Clemson highlights -- like the time he recovered a blocked field goal for a touchdown to spark a comeback win -- but more importantly, by available accounts he was a great guy. After searching for him on YouTube, I found this clip of Adams insisting to Kevin Kolb that Kolb’s wife would love to have Adams’ rookie card.
