A possible number one contender match-up in the UFC’s welterweight division between Paul Daley and Josh Koscheck has been verbally agreed upon for UFC 113 on May 1st in Montreal.
Paul Daley And Josh Koscheck Agree To Meet At UFC 113
Sources close to the negotiations informed MMAjunkie.com that the two have verbally agreed to the match-up, though an undisclosed injury to Koscheck that scrapped his expected UFC 109 rematch with Paulo Thiago could hold up contracts from being signed.
If Josh Koscheck can recover from his injury in time to make this bout happen, we’re probably looking at the fight to determine the next opponent for either Georges St. Pierre or Dan Hardy depending on the outcome of their contest at UFC 111 in March.
Daley has looked incredibly impressive since coming to the UFC last year with back-to-back devasting knockout victories over Martin Kampmann and Dustin Hazelett. The always tough Koscheck is coming off an impressive win himself after submitting rising star Anthony Johnson at UFC 106 and will prove to be Daley’s stiffest test to date in the UFC
Here is what the rumored card for UFC 113 looks like so far.
-Lyoto Machida vs. Mauricio “Shogun” Rua
-Rashad Evans vs. Quinton “Rampage” Jackson
-Josh Koscheck vs. Paul Daley
-Patrick Cote vs. Alan Belcher
-Kimbo Slice vs. Matt Mitrione
-Jeremy Stephens vs. Sam Stout
-Jonathan Goulet vs. Marcus Davis
-TJ Grant vs. Johny Hendricks
