↵The hit occured in a QMJHL game Sunday afternoon. The injured player, Mikael Tam, was taken to a hospital where medications were used to stop the seizures. Right now it’s being reported that Tam has a broken jaw and suspected brain trauma; further tests today will determine the extent of his injuries.
↵Cormier, a top prospect for the New Jersey Devils has been indefinitely suspended while the QMJHL investigates the incident. It has been reported that a season-long suspension could be handed down. Devils GM Lou Lamoriello has stated he doesn’t feel that severe a punishment is warranted.
