British welterweight striking machine Paul "Semtex" Daley has looked awfully impressive since stepping inside the Octagon for the first time late last year. So impressive in fact, the folks at the UFC have decided to extend Daley's contract with six more fights. The Telegraph has the story.
UFC Locks Up Paul Daley With Six-Fight Contract Extension
After a brutal knockout win over Martin Kampmann at UFC 103, Daley followed up his UFC debut with an even more dominating performance at UFC 108, defeating Dustin Hazelett in such a fashion it earned him knockout of the night honors.
This move is pretty significant as Daley is currently scheduled to meet Josh Koscheck at UFC 113 in what could very easily be considered a fight to determine the number one contender in the UFC’s welterweight division. Regardless of how the fight with Koscheck plays out, Daley is an explosive and charismatic fighter with a skill set that makes for exciting fights every time out, making him a promoter’s dream.
