I moved away from Los Angeles a couple months ago, and after spending several years down the street from the Staples Center, let me tell you: L.A. is a Lakers town. It’s a Dodgers town. It is, very occasionally, a college football town, though not imbued with the fervor you’d find in the South and Midwest. And it has proved itself more than once to be a less-than-ideal pro football town, an idea that’s not lost on a group of California-based Bills fans who want their team to stay right where it is, thankyouverymuch:
Even Bills Fans In Los Angeles Don’t Want The Bills In Los Angeles
↵“In Los Angeles the Bills would be an option but in Buffalo it’s a passion.”
Mammoser has lived in Los Angeles for 20 years and knows exactly what would happen if his beloved Bills moved here. The team would be the new hot club in town, talked about and packed for the first year before it’s quickly forgotten when the next new shiny toy arrives.
↵This isn’t a food truck craze we’re dealing with here, but you can bet that’s how the Bills would be treated. The backlash could get expensive, fast, and the city of Buffalo would be gutted in the process. You thought the Korean frozen yogurt wars were bad? Buckle up.
