In Progress: No. 18 Wisconsin Looks To Sweep Hapless Penn State
Madison, WI (Sports Network) - Jordan Taylor scored 10 of his 20 points in overtime to propel the 18th-ranked Wisconsin Badgers past the Penn State Nittany Lions, 79-71, in a Big Ten clash at Kohl Center.
Taylor also dished out six assists for the Badgers (16-4, 6-2 Big Ten), who improved to 12-0 at home this season and have won 17 straight overall in Madison. Trevon Hughes ended with 22 points and five rebounds. Keaton Nankivil donated 17 points and seven boards for Wisconsin, which has won two in a row since a loss at Ohio State on January 16.
With the victory, Badgers head coach Bo Ryan tied Branch McCracken as the second-fastest coach in conference history to record 100 Big Ten wins, doing so in 140 games. Under Ryan, Wisconsin is a perfect 51-0 at home versus unranked Big Ten teams.
Talor Battle poured in a game-high 28 points while pulling down eight rebounds and dishing out six assists for the Nittany Lions (8-11, 0-7), who have lost seven consecutive contests.
