When I saw a video titled “Jets fans take over Indy” on YouTube, I had such high hopes for idiocy. After all, a Jets fan managed to get arrested for, by all accounts, just being obnoxious and chanting “Jets!” incessantly in San Diego. What would the Gang Green’s fans do when they descended upon Indianapolis?↵

Jets Fans Do Not Disappoint in Indy
↵
↵Uh ... that’ll show ‘em.↵↵Unfortunately, the best incident hasn’t made its way to any video I can find, and that’s a Jets fan being Tasered prior to Sunday’s AFC Championship against the Colts. Details via the New York Post: ↵
↵↵⇥ Cops sacked a Jet diehard before the big game, throwing him against a squad car outside the stadium and then zapping him with a Taser — all while the young man’s dad watched in disbelief, witnesses said.↵⇥↵⇥The arresting officer claimed Patrick Mallon, 26, had been belligerent and threw beer at other tailgate revelers. ↵⇥
↵⇥↵⇥But Mallon told The Post after his late-night hearing, “I did not throw beer at anybody. I was angry with the police for trying to go through the crowd like that.↵⇥
↵⇥↵⇥ “But I’m more angry with what they did to me.” ↵⇥
↵↵↵Mallon did eight hours in jail and his dad paid a $150 fine. The whole thing goes away if he behaves for two years. At least Mallon’s dad happens to be a criminal defense lawyer from New Jersey.↵
