↵This has to be the most excitement to have taken place on the catwalk of a hockey arena since Sudden Death. On Saturday night, at the beginning of the third period of the Red Wings’ 3-2 loss to the Kings, an entire section of the arena was vacated while security retrieved three fans who found their way onto the catwalk high above the seats.↵↵⇥Three fans somehow found their way into a restricted area on the fifth floor of the arena. Two of them were captured on the catwalk and escorted to safety. Another climbed up onto a conduit one level higher, then seemed to panic a bit. It took a while to bring him down.↵⇥↵⇥The fans in Section 124, directly below the three fans, were ushered back to their seat midway through the third period↵⇥

↵↵Yet play continued with little interruption. Henrik Zetterberg said. “Thank god nothing happened.” One announcer was a little more flip: “Well, if he falls, it’s too many men on the ice for Detroit.”↵↵(H/T to SB Nation)↵
