Hattiesburg, Miss. has found a way to be the location for some of the great sports campouts in the last couple of years. Obviously we had the vigil by media for Brett Favre and his will-he-won’t-he decision about retirement. Now we’ve got the whole issue of Tiger Woods being in a rehab facility, Pine Grove, in Hattiesburg. It appears the gossip rags’ photogs didn’t have the stomach of people like Rachel Nichols.↵
Paparazzi Reportedly Stop Stalking Tiger Woods in Hattiesburg

↵↵Details via the Hattiesburg American:↵
↵↵⇥THE TIGER HUNT APPEARS TO BE ON HIATUS — at least for the time being.↵⇥↵⇥The mini-pack of paparazzi that descended on Hattiesburg in the past few weeks trying to get a glimpse of world-renowned golfer Tiger Woods couldn’t be found Monday.↵⇥
↵↵The American also lends us an interesting detail about last-ditch efforts by the paparazzi to get pictures. As you can see in the AP photo above, a large additional wall had gone up to prevent photographs. You go high and the paps will go higher.↵↵⇥Before they left, photographers and TV crews asked some businesses around Gentle Path for access to their roofs so they could shoot photos beyond Gentle Path’s wall.↵⇥↵⇥Damian Holmes of Hattiesburg, who works as the manager at Car Quest Auto Parts across the street from the facility, said he did not grant access to the roof of the building.↵⇥
↵↵And maybe that was the end of it. Or maybe the paparazzi have collectively gone into hiding for a few days so people let their guard down.
