M-1 Global fighting sensation and current Strikeforce Light Heavyweight Champion Gegard Mousasi appears to have a new oppenent to trap in his death stare, Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal. In an interview with Aaron Tru, both King Mo and Gegard Mousasi spoke about what’s next for them inside of the cage, but it looks like the only person that got the memo on their impending fight with each other was “The Dreamcatcher.” Have a listen:
Gegard Mousasi And King Mo Likely To Fight On Strikeforce’s CBS Card In April
If this fight does indeed go down, we should all expect fireworks. Lots of them. Mousasi hasn’t lost a fight since the summer of 2006. That’s almost FOUR years! During that time, he’s beaten top guys like Bellator wrecking machine Hector Lombard, super-striker Melvin Manhoef, and grappling ace Jacare Souza amongst others to amass a 15-fight win streak.
But don’t tell King Mo about Mousasi’s impressive career record. He doesn’t care. The brash, trash-talking, fighter has compiled an undefeated record since making the jump from collegiate wrestling, where he was a Division 1 All-American at Oklahoma State, to MMA. He stopped Mike Whitehead with a first round knockout in his Stirkeforce debut last month.
